I read a lot of children’s books. I write them too.
Jenny Bowman is a children’s book author and freelance editor. Passionate about writing, she authored (and illustrated!) her first book at the age of eight then completed her first published work, a Valentine’s poem for overseas troops, the following year. Since then, Jenny has been writing silly short stories, angsty teenage journals, artsy college poetry, low-budget indie screenplays, articles and opinion pieces, plus two middle grade novels and about a million and one picture book drafts.
Jenny runs a busy freelance, editing business where she specializes in editing children’s books. Having edited hundreds books for children to middle grade readers, Jenny enjoys teaching others about the craft of writing.
When she’s not writing, Jenny enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and garden, traveling with her husband and two sons, running and hiking, and losing track of time on the beach in Coastal North Carolina where she lives.
