Jenny Bowman is a children’s book author. Passionate about writing, she authored (and illustrated!) her first book at the age of eight then completed her first published work, a Valentine’s poem for overseas troops, the following year. Since then, Jenny has been writing silly short stories, angsty teenage journals, artsy college poetry, low-budget indie screenplays, articles and opinion pieces, plus two middle grade novels and about a million and one picture book drafts.
Jenny runs a busy freelance, editing business where she specializes in editing children’s books. Having collaborated on hundreds of books for children, Jenny enjoys teaching others about the craft of writing for children.
When she’s not editing or writing, Jenny enjoys hiking and running, experimenting in the kitchen and garden, and traveling with her husband, two sons, and their hound dog, Olive, and losing track of time on the beach in coastal North Carolina where she lives.
